Beatriz Mayorca Bio

This Venezuelan born artist, interior designer and journalist has lived in Oklahoma City since 2005. She graduated with a degree in Social Communication from the Central University of Venezuela, but her passion for the arts and design made her seek a Bachelor's of Fine Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has obtained many awards and recognition for outstanding development, such as her recent Most Outstanding Hispanic Artist 2014 Award and 2016 AHAS Awards in Wood Category from the Academy of Handmade - LA California. She is also part of the Oklahoma City's Pre-Qualified Artist Pool in four categories: Mosaic Art, Functional Art, Sculpture and Wall Relief.

Beatriz Mayorca has been working in her own studio as a fine artist and designer. Additionally, she is a board member of Fringe, Oklahoma City’s Women’s Art Organization. Her works have been seen displayed in diverse Oklahoma galleries since 2011. As well, she has been invited to exhibit at the Oklahoma Science Museum "Soundscapes Art Show", Oklahoma Contemporary, Oklahoma Festival of the Arts - Sculpture Park, 125 Anniversary of Central University of Oklahoma Art Show, among others.
